McKenzie is saying consensus among scouts seems to be Dubois will be a winger in the NHL, just thought I'd toss that out there while we're on the subject. Thought it was interesting, also only just learned he started playing centre half way through this season |

Because of injuries he was forced into a C role. He flourished tho. With his size, skating and smarts he has the capability of being an NHL C. But, that depends on who drafts him.
Not sure who I want at #5. Tkachuk/Dubois/Juolevi
Almost rather trade down and draft a Yost or Keller. A little afraid of Brown. Could be more a project than a prospect. |

I'd guess Tkachuk goes 4, but you never know |

Good blod Jen, not much of a Nylander fan. I'm still not convinced he will be as successful at the pro level considering his average skating. On the other hand, i'm a big Jost fan but if Sergachev or Julolevi are available at 9th it will be a very tough choice to make. |

I know the draft is important but can we stick to important topics like top 10 lists containing long-retired wingers? |

Trading up is hard - Snots33_77
Everybody wants to move up, that's the thing.
Maybe they could package their two 2nd round pick to get another (late) first round pick?
I expect the Oilers to pick another forward at 4th.
In theory there will be a good player at 9th. |

I'm hoping they don't go with Jost, I can't get myself onboard with drafting someone from the BCHL high, the fact he doesn't have the size makes it worse |

Can't wait for the draft. It's going to be very interesting this year. So many different lists outside of the top 3 |

I agree with you completely. It's just how much faith can you put in a GM that has proven over and over again that making excuses are easier than making trades?
A lot of other teams are making moves ahead of the draft to secure futures and MB and the boys are just sitting there watching the wheels go round and round.
Teams that have made the playoffs have fired their coach, we had the worst year in 106 years and MT gets 3 votes of confidence during the season and after???
I'm just going to wait for hopes that I, and many others, are proven wrong by this joke of a management team.
Our big off-season move and UFA will be Price returning to his regular duties so he can be the kickstand that holds this façade together.
Like I said.......I hope somebody.....anybody will prove us wrong and we can become respectable and competitive once again. |

Well Timmons loves his undersized projects so I wouldn't be surprised. |

2011-12 was worse - Euh_Michel
Over 82 games ya. If you only look at the collapse over the 3/4 of the season though they've never managed to be that bad. Only reason it balances out over the full season is because they've almost never managed to be as good as they were for the first 1/4. Crazy season.... |
